Tamaryn Design celebrates founder Suzanne Watzman's love of color, textiles, and Asian culture. Its limited-edition clothing, accessories, and home decor incorporate both new and reclaimed materials, all of which tell a unique story.
A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Suzanne's curiosity and sense of adventure have inspired her many travels to South Asia and neighboring countries. A six-month journey to Vietnam with her Vietnamese-born daughter Tamaryn became a seven-year residency.
While in Vietnam, Suzanne began to incorporate traditional materials and processes in her work. Her love of design and entrepreneurial spirit blossomed as she met with local artists, artisans, and designers. She also found opportunities to support underrepresented workshops by mentoring and training individuals in design and the sewing trade.
These experiences inspire her work and desire to blend traditional materials with the contemporary, thus forming the basis of Tamaryn Design.
Now living in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Suzanne continues creating her products as well as working with her network of global artisans, blending the new and traditional to create products that are beautiful, useful, and comfortable.
